Here are the many awards the school has achieved over the last few years. They represent the hard work of staff in offering a broad, balanced and well taught curriculum both within and outside of school hours.

Saint Anne Line Junior School has achieved Level One of the Rights’ Respecting Schools Award – we are proud to have achieved Level 1 and are now working towards Level 2. Increasing children’s awareness of some of the Convention for the Rights of the Child Articles is a focus this academic year.

The Steering group will lead us through this by suggesting ways children become familiar with the Rights eg organising a competition. Rights’ wall displays, class charters, references to Rights eg organising a competition. Rights’ wall displays, class charters, references to Rights in lesson plans will flourish in the school. Evidence portfolios, illustrating how Children’s rights are embedded at our school, will start to be gathered by Mrs Slee and Miss Gillen.

To achieve this Mark the school’s practice in developing literacy and numeracy were investigated through 10 areas of examination.

The school now holds Quality Mark 5 & Outstanding Performance 10 Year Award.

The school’s Behaviour, Rewards and Motivation Policies were investigated and the school was awarded this Mark for the high standard of work in these areas.

The school was found to be offering high quality support in football to all age groups, encouraging participation at both school and home. High levels of sportsmanship were noted.

Renewed & Reviewed Dec 2010This is a national Award which states the school is encouraging all aspects of healthiness and well being for its pupils and families. It tries to inform the community on healthy practices, offering advice and guidance. It encourages participation and involvement of pupils in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

This award proves the school is strongly encouraging pupils in a wider community focus with an emphasis on understanding other cultures. The school is currently linked to two schools – one in Spain, another in USA. Chinese is offered as an extension as part of gifted and talented provision.

This is a National Award held by less than 100 primary schools in the UK. It acknowledges high level support for gifted and talented pupils across the range of educational opportunities.
